About Honey Church
Honey Church Farm is a small-scale producer of premium-quality, nutrient-dense lamb, renowned for its exceptional flavor and tenderness. We proudly serve Alberta households. From families who enjoy lamb as part of their everyday meals, to those seeking a high-end cut for a special celebration, or to recreate a cherished traditional dish.
Our lamb is delivered straight to your door. Through our online shop you can purchase whole and half lamb. We will soon be offering individual cuts, and seasonal meat boxes.
Honey Church Farm began with just eight Icelandic sheep on ten acres of rented land. As we’ve grown, we’ve remained committed to raising only heritage breeds (Icelandic and Scottish Blackface) in a low-intensity, pasture-based system.
Located within one hour of Edmonton, we believe a great meal is more than what’s on the plate, it’s a chance to gather, share stories, and connect with the people who matter most. Our lamb is raised to be part of those moments, whether it’s the centerpiece of a holiday feast or the comfort of a Sunday dinner at home.
I was born and raised in Alberta, Canada, after my parents immigrated from Devon, England. For generations, my family has been dedicated to sheep, beef, and dairy farming in the small village of Honey Church.
Honey Church has always been at the heart of our family’s life. Weddings, christenings, and funerals have all taken place in its historic church. My aunt, uncle, and cousins still ring the bells in the tower on holidays. The church itself dates back to the 15th century (1401–1500), and historical records from even earlier describe five farms in the Honey Church area. Remarkably, all of those farms are still operating today, including my family’s own Slade Farm.
Honey Church Farm was born from my deep love of agriculture and a desire to stay connected to my roots.
